Approach to Therapy

Breaking Sad is about figuring out what isn't working in your life, so we can partner with you to create a better tomorrow. We strive to help you become your absolute best, believe that you are an expert on yourself, and we recognize that you are an integral part of your healing journey. We'll work with you to identify the obstacles in your life, then we'll help you figure out a way to pick yourself back up, dust yourself off, and get to living your best life. We believe that the bird who falls is the bird that learns to fly, and we will work hard with you to help you reach the sky!
Breaking Sad offers comprehensive chemical dependency evaluations. We will partner with you, talk to people you believe will be a helpful part of your healing journey, and work with you to create an assessment of what will help you to become a healthier you. You can expect to spend about two to three hours with us, and you will be invited to read our finished evaluation to check for accuracy.
Breaking Sad offers mental health evaluations. We will sit down with you to assess what has been going on, determine what you would like to improve in your life, and we will work with you to identify the resources that might help to improve your journey to a better life. You can expect to spend about two to three hours with us, and you will be encouraged to read and edit the finished assessment.
Breaking Sad offers both individual and family therapy sessions. We will work with you to establish your personal recovery goals, help you to identify how to make your life better, and partner with you to continually assess and adjust your treatment plan as needed. We believe that you hold all the answers within you, and our goal is to help you to to become your absolute best you! You can expect to spend an hour with us for each session, and to have a clear sense of what you want to accomplish before treatment ends.
